Oxford Street

Hey guys,

Last Saturday, the boys had a back-to-school party with loads of kids from their classes and also some children who are new to the school. Alexa told me that two other AuPairs were gonna be there as well, so I came along with them. Alexa and Alex rented out a little cottage with a big playground and loads of green space for the kids to play on. In the beginning it was quite boring for me, as it took the other AuPairs one more hour to arrive. But when they finally came, it was loads of fun.
They both stay in the same family but one is the old AuPair and she already has leave on September 11. Nicole arrived only a week ago and all three of us had a lovely time together and Nicole and I already planned to meet up in Kingston this Saturday.

On Sunday, me and three other AuPairs went to Oxford Street for a bit of shopping. Oxford Street was crazily busy but we still had loads of fun and we found some great pieces as well. I first had to get a big bag because I didn't bring any bag big enough to bring to the gym and I needed a new wallet as well. So we first went to a shop called TopShop and not only was it huge but it had also more than just clothes, as we had expected it to be. If you want, you might even get pierced or get a tattoo there.
Katharina afterwards wanted to go to Victoria's Secret. I've never been to one before but it was crazy. Glitter everywhere and it reminded me a bit of a Hollister just  with a bit more sparkle and a bit brighter.

After that we were all hungry at went for something to eat. We all got something different and then wanted to sit down on a bench and eat together. But that turned out a bit difficult, as there are absolutely no benches on or anywhere around Oxford Street. So we sat down on the sidewalk of a road with a dead end and ate there.

All in all it was a lovely day and we all enjoyed it a lot. Sade and I went home by bus which is slightly cheaper than taking the underground and train but it took us almost two hours to get home.

Deutsch: 

Letzten Samstag hatte Alexa eine back-to-school Party für unsere Jungs und ihre Freunde organisiert. Sie hatte eine Grünfläche nahe der Schule gemietet mit einem kleinen Spielplatz und eine Hütte. Jede Familie brachte etwas zu Essen oder etwas zu Trinken mit. Ich war auch dabei, da Alexa gesagt hatte, dass zwei weitere AuPairs auch da sein würden. Leider waren sie die erste Stunde noch nicht da, deswegen war es ein wenig langweilig für mich. Aber als sie dann da waren, hatten wir super viel Spaß. Die zwei waren super lieb und wir haben uns echt gut verstanden. Leider wohnen sie in der gleichen Familie, was bedeutet, dass eine von ihnen das "alte" AuPair ist und schon in einer Woche wieder zurück nach Deutschland fliegt. Dafür haben Nicole, welche erst vor einer Woche ankam, und ich uns schon für dieses Wochenende in Kingston verabredet.

Sonntag habe ich dann mit drei anderen AuPairs auf der Oxford Street zum Shoppen verabredet. Sade, mit welcher ich mich letzten Samstag getroffen hatte, und Katharina, mit welcher ich letzten Sonntag unterwegs war, kannte ich schon. Kathatina hatte dann noch ein anderes AuPair aus ihrer Umgebung mitgebracht. Christine ist super lieb. Sie kommt ursprünglich auch aus Deutschland, lebt aber schon seit 8 Jahren in Kanada.
Zusammen waren wir erst in TopShop. Normalerweise ist dies ein Klamotten Laden und von außen sah dies auch genauso aus. Der Laden war zu Anfang nur 100 mal größer, als wir es aus Kingston kennen, aber als wir dann ein Stockwerk tiefer gefahren sind, kam dann die Überraschung. Man kann sich dort soagr Tattoos oder Piercings stechen lassen!
Danach ging es erst einmal zu Victoria's Secret. Bis letzets Wochenende wusste ich zwar genau, was das ist, war aber noch nie in einem Laden von dieser Marke. Es gibt super viel Glitzer da drinne uns errinert einen an einen Hollister, der ein bisschen besser beleuchtet ist.
Als wir dann etwas essen wollten, bekamen wir ein kleines Problem. Wir hatten uns alle unterschiedliche Kleinigkeiten zum Essen gekauft und wollten uns dann draußen auf eine Bank setzten. Allerdings gibt es auf der Oxford Street keine Bank! Am Ende haben wir uns dann auf den Straßenrand in einer ruhigen Nebenstraße gesetzt und dort gegessen.

Sade und ich haben am Ende des Tages den Bus zurück genommen. Es ist ein kleines bisschen billiger, als mit der Underground zu fahren, dafür haben wir fast zwei Stunden nach Hause gebraucht!
